Welcome to Divided Confluence
A Documentary by 4 Corner Film Logistics
A historic battle between sacred places and corporate profits is taking place in the heart of the Grand Canyon, where the Little Colorado spills into the main stem of the canyon.
For many Native American tribes, it is a sacred and storied part of their history and their culture, yet economic disparities have opened the door for a group of developers, who propose the construction of a tramway from the rim to the confluence in hopes of attracting up to 10,000 people a day to this remote oasis.
They promise to bring much needed jobs and economic prosperity to Western Navajo, but others feel the development will only bring more pain with very little economic gain. Is this the last best plan for financial stability, or will the Escalade project decimate a way of life without fulfilling the promises.
